My husband and I dined at The Wheatsheaf for our anniversary meal yesterday afternoon. We had a lovely table by the window, which offered a view of the village green. The service was impeccable, and the food was exceptional. We enjoyed three courses, and each one was excellent. Overall, it was also a fantastic value for money.
Best friends meeting for Easter Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. Overall all we can simply say was that it was excellent. All tables were filled, we think that says it all about the quality and popularity of this gem of a place. It is becoming a firm favourite with all of us.
Quite simply, superb meal. Staff very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. A really good selection if you want something light or a full 3 course meal. We opted for the works and were not disappointed. Highly recommended and we will be back again soon.

We had a lovely experience at the restaurant. Although we arrived early for our reservation, it wasn't a problem at all. The service was excellent, with very friendly and attentive staff.
Lovely rare roast beef Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, my wife had Hake which she said was lovely. Just a shame there was background musac!
