A large group of us, all middle-aged couples and well-behaved, visited Whelan's Kingston late on a Saturday night about three weeks ago. Two of the women, including my wife, were allowed in, but the rest of us were turned away by the young bouncer. We all ended up at Bonnie Rogues instead. Although it was a bit younger crowd there, we had a fantastic time. My wife mentioned that Whelan's was quite empty that night.
It's a good irish pub, with good live music and good service at the bar. This 1 star review is specificaly for the security lady on duty on Friday 30/01/26. Thanks for ruining our family night out.
