This was my first visit to White Cottage. I ordered the Patty Melt which was supposed to be hamburg served on rye bread with fried onions and swiss cheese. First of all, it was not rye bread. (very disappointing) Secondly, there were maybe a tablespoon of fried onions on the sandwich. (very disappointing) On the plus side, the sandwich was served with the meat hot and the cheese melted. Would I go again? Maybe, I would try the ice cream but the sandwiches are not an option.
One of Belleville's best seasonal ice cream shops. Ice cream is ALWAYS good here, and they load on plenty of toppings for concretes. The line can be long outside, so I recommend ordering online in advance, and prepare to spend a few minutes picking up your order. The food is good, too, but it's basic diner food, and not much variety. Definitely go for the ice cream.
You will love this place. It's like a blast from the past!!! Great food, fabulous ice-cream concoctions, and the staff is friendly and ready to please make sure you tip these hard working young' ins). The patty melt was great, so was the pulled pork sandwich. Try the turtle Sunday you'll love it.
Stopped in for later dinner and was delicious and had some dessert too was excellent as well!! Must try here in belleville area!!! Ice cream selections can change but excellent every single time!!! Try it you'll love it!!!
As most know this place is an often frequented place in spring and summer. Lots of tasty options for food and dessert. Be patient as the folks are working their tails off, and then enjoy your choice!
It's close to home, reasonable prices, and usually ordered and served pretty quickly. The girls are always smiling and willing to accommodate with my peanut allergy. We love going here!!
Young girl has an attitude like she didn't want to work and the went to cut bananas without washing her hands or gloves. Gross. Icecream and other visits were always great besides today
Cute atmosphere, delicious ice cream, and large portions. I would recommend sharing with someone or order 1 size smaller than you were going to. A Belleville staple!
Pretty cool ice-cream shop. It is one of the better mom and pop shops. The medium ice cream cone is really large.
