Went to White Spot last night with my husband to enjoy their Legendary hamburger with Triple O sauce ( my favorite!). I ordered a caesar salad to go with my hamburger and my husband ordered a dinner size caesar as well as a bowl of their clam chowder soup. The whole meal was totally sub par. The caesar salads were tasteless, the hamburger looked like it had been sitting somewhere for hours, the "garlic toast" served with the caesar salad didn't have a hint of "garlic" on it. Basically a hunk of bread with butter spread on it. The service was OK although my husband had to remind the server halfway through our meal to bring him the soup (after requesting it to be brought out WITH his salad dur...
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the restaurant has a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items, although I only found out after I had already ordered my meal. The server was more informed about allergy accommodations than the hostess, which put me at ease. In addition to gluten-free options, they also offer gluten-free buns and pasta. The server mentioned they have separate fryers for chicken and fish allergies, showing their attention to detail and proactive approach to allergies. Overall, I felt confident in the staff's knowledge and feel comfortable that I would be served a safe gluten-free meal.
We went to the White Spot again for lunch with our son in law and grand daughter. We arrived around 11.40 am, we were seated got our drinks and ordered. Then the waiting game began. It was not busy at all but it took till 12.25 before our food showed up. We wonder why it takes so long before people get their meals, what are they doing in that kitchen, having a coffee break? My husband ordered the chicken salad and it had only three tiny pieces of chicken on it and for $ 15.00?It is that our grand daughter likes a White Spot pirate pack meal but we will try to get her to another place in the future.
We have family nearby who eat here regularly. The service is prompt but the food delivery poor at no fault of the servers. One of four dishes gets sent back due to poor/ cold/ missed addition s or requests. The menu is very tired. What happened to chicken Pickens and chicken in a straw? No indication of what made White Spot what it was. Shoulda stayed with what worked as what's new is generally lame.
I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant without any issues and loved their food. However, I have gotten sick twice now. The first time was from their fries, which I used to always enjoy, and the second time was from batter-free halibut and a Spot salad. I no longer feel safe eating there, which is disappointing.
This place needs to hire actual people who want to work. I wish a refill of coffee would arrive as fast as the cheque. Save your money and eat elsewhere, in fact eat anywhere else. This is the worst place in ALL OF MISSION.
This restaurant is really amazing! Although they have made mistakes in the past, they work quickly to rectify them. We are regular customers and eat there frequently.
lots of space not crowded and lots of windows to view out and food comes with good timing. Have no trouble suggesting this.
Service was slow but the server was extremely nice. The food was ok but not great. There was an extensive GF menu.
