Went out with a group of 5 people and we all had the most amazing experience at 1929! Our server and the staff as a whole were very friendly and made our experience the great time that it was! We ordered appetizers to start. The crispy avocado slices and spinach dip were so tasty! We had a variety of meals consisting of the ribeye steak and garlic mash potatoes, the roast chicken and brussel sprouts, the creole chicken pene pasta, the bison burger and caesar salad and the protein power bowl! All of our meals were so delicious and my steak was one of the best I have had! I ordered the steak sandwich and brussels sprouts as a side at this restaurant. The steak had some gristle, but once I removed it, I was left with a delicious, tender, perfectly cooked steak topped with flavorful mushrooms and onions. The serving of brussels sprouts was huge, enough to share with four people, but it was meant to be an individual portion. They were perfectly cooked as well. My wife had the chicken fingers with mixed vegetables, which were also large, tasty, and cooked just right. Our server provided friendly and fast service. It was during the off-peak season so I cannot comment on busier times, but we had no complaints during our visit.
I have been visiting this restaurant since the 1980s, usually during slow or non-holiday weekends. I am a fan of the WigWam, but 1929 is also good. We made a reservation days in advance expecting it to be busy, and we were not disappointed with the service or the meal. We particularly enjoyed the shared bowl of fresh summer vegetables (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower) as a side dish. The half-rack of BBQ back ribs were tasty, but those veggies were outstanding. We also enjoyed the live music performed by a guitarist while we dined. I am looking forward to visiting WigWam/1929 Dining and Lounge again next summer.
There were eight tables outside at the restaurant, with three of them occupied including ours (2 people). The other two tables were being served by separate waiters. After waiting for 10 minutes without even receiving a drink order, I went inside to inform the hostess. A girl who had been cleaning other tables apologized, but after an additional 5 minutes of waiting, no one had come to serve us. Out with a couple of girlfriends for a bite and a couple of drinks and could not have picked a better choice. The « small » Greek nachos was amazing, so tasty and generous with toppings and still left with some leftovers!! Ambiance was pleasant and the service impeccable.
Food was ok. We waited over 2 hours to get food after a 30 min wait for a table. Server was good and very apologetic for the wait. I got the feeling they were under staffed in both servers and kitchen. Was just a mediocre experience and quite pricy for what we got.
This place is the perfect pitstop between the beach and where you’re staying, and it doesn’t matter where you’re staying! It has an environment and provides an experience second to none. Great food, great people, and great times. Eleven out of ten. 11/10.
My wife and I enjoyed a pasta dinner at 1929. Ample portion served on nice hot dishes. We sat inside at bench seating by an open window. The fresh air was wonderful, the bench seating not so much. Our waitress was very good. Would recommend! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We stopped here for dinner and it was super! The wine was excellent, pickerel fish superb and great service! Would go back again for sure!
