My partner and I are members at Windy Hill. We are a rather young couple being 27 and 32. We became members because we were always going there and not getting the members benefits when if you pay $11 a year you get a lot of perks. Expect pub food. Parma, fish and chips, steaks etc. My favourite thing is that they service tomato juice. I normally buy 3 while im there if I'm not having a wine. Noone serves tomato juice these days! Also they give you a free bread roll and if they have alot left over you can buy extras at $1 each which is what we usually do. The meals are nice. The food is served quickly. Windy Hill is the traditional home of the Esendon Football Club, known as the Bombers. The Bombers are one of the most successful teams in the Australian Football League (AFL). Essendon are going through what an Aussie would describe as a "rough patch" agt the moment, but they will recover, they always do. The dining room is quite good, I have eaten there several time and come away satisfied, Out of town Bombers fans are welcome to visit.

We always enjoy our evening here, though it can be quite busy. It caters for the young and old and the meals are a decent size and as members ($11pp for the year) there are many deals to be had. It can be a bit expensive ($22 to $29) and would prefer slightly small portion for a smaller price. Good selection of Senior meals. Service is very quick and effient, and staff helpful.

I have been here a couple of times now. The food is okay but nothing to rave about. The waiting staff are in a bit of a rush and have a tendency to place the wrong meal on the table without checking. The first time I went I had roast and the second time I went I had steak. Both meals were average. Not somewhere I would rush back to.
This is a cosy club that is great if you are a member as it has lots of special deals for members for meals and drinks. Membership is only $11 and you would save that on your first dining experience at Windy Hill. The food has always been good and the service is quite quick . Good place to catch up with friends.
A rather bland cave like room.Tables are small, three are crowded on a four seater.Service very slow and offhand,my mates waited 45 minutes for ordinary run of the mill pub grub.Drinks are cheap and full measure.Clean,family friendly vibe.
Although only a small bistro it was typical of many club bistros. A good range of food (menu had a reasonable range of dishes), well presented and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly. The pasta dish was very good.

Called in for lunch on a recent Monday. Modern, pleasant bistro. Good variety on menu; seniors menu and specials. Service was a bit ordinary but the food was great. Good wine list. Definite visit again.
