During my time stationed at Ft. Sheridan in 1989-90, a group of us would head to this restaurant every Tuesday for neighborhood beer night, and it was always bustling with people. They played an excellent mix of classic rock, including bands like R.E.M., and the atmosphere was fantastic. They showed a lot of support for the military, which we appreciated. I can still vividly remember the wooden nickels they used as tokens.
I took off one star due to a guy sitting next to me at the bar who, it turns out, also works there (though he wasn't on shift) and was downright rude. Despite his obnoxious behavior, Peter was the highlight of our visit, and we will definitely return because of him. Thank you for the great drinks, the fun, the smiles, and the engaging conversation, Peter! YOU ROCK!!! We’ll be back!
Back in 1989-90 while stationed at Ft. Sheridan, several of us would go to this place every Tuesday for the quarter beer night and it was always packed. They played a great mix of alt. Rock like REM, and the draft was a quarter! They were supportive of the military back then. I remember the wooden nickel like it was yesterday.
I’ve tried to enjoy this place as a local dive bar several times, but it just hasn’t worked out. The bartender has been rude on each visit. Perhaps I don’t fit in because I don't wear pajamas, but it seems like the place hasn’t seen a thorough cleaning in years. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Great local bar! Very veteran friendly and good drinks selection. Bar offers are very personal and people are welcoming. I definitely recommend coming here at least once.
