I had the pleasure of dining at Ya Malaysia on May 30th. We were greeted and seated very quickly by the staff. We order the Tom yum prawn soup and the chicken corn soup. Both were very good and brought to the table very quickly. The taste was so good it surprised us. We also ordered the pork belly and the chicken massaman . These 3 also arrived very quickly. The flavours were superb. The quality of the food, the quality of the service and the quickness of the staff to help was excellent. Our first time here - recommended by a friend. Before we stepped into the restaurant, another patron - a stranger to us highly recommended the nasi lemak. Ordered their weekday lunch specials of Nasi Lemak with beef rendang and Mee Goreng. Both were delicious and we enjoyed our lunch very much. It was excellent value at $10.95 each. Service was attentive and we didn't have to wait too long. Staff were friendly and helpful in explaining dishes. Thanks for a yummy meal - we will be back to try the other lunch specials!
One of waitresses was busy chatting with a bystander while we were waiting for ordering our meal. Seemed like she was not interested in customers and turned to us with angry face when we called her for service. Water spinach (kangkung) arrived with THREE weeds in there which not eatable and chicken rendang was cold. Bye bye and we will not return!
We decided to test Ya-Malaysia with a Scoopon voucher. The deal was for 2 mains, 2 boiled rice and 2 drinks. We ordered "bak kut teh", "sambal okra" and soya bean grass jelly drinks. We were pleasantly surprised with the flavour of the food. They were all good! Ya-Malaysia is now on our list of "to go" restaurants.

As a Malaysian, I really do not expect finding local and authentic Malaysia food here. But the shop really surprised me up. Ordered their Seafood Laksa and Sambal fried Okra, and the taste really as good as those I had at Malaysia.
Walked past on my way back to the hotel and decided to get take away for dinner from here. Service was fast and efficient. I had the fried noodles. Basic dish, but well made. I will come back next time I stay in Parramatta.
Best Char kwey teoh since we lived in Penang, both curries were well spiced with a lovely creamy texture, roti sweet savoury flavour. Not much left over after a quivk mid afternoon snack
Was on a business trip to Sydney. Happen to find this restaurant by chance. Offers a wide variety of malaysian menus. The chicken rice was good. Reasonably priced and good ambience.

First visit, ordered spice squid and bak kut teh, with coconut rice, very yummy :) Service is good, food came fast. Price is reasonable. We will come back again.
