This is how it works.<br/ Find a table first even if you have to wait. Go up and order your food. Once you finish paying they give you a table number. Make sure you grab utensils and napkins at the front, this is a self serve place. If your table is dirty just wave a server down to wipe it. If you need a box and bag for left overs it's located in the back on the metal shelf rack, just help yourself.<br/ <br/ Make sure you say thank you, even greeting them in farsi can make that difference, cause my plate was way bigger then the guy next to me LOL. As you may know, North Vancouver has a large Iranian-Canadian community, which means there are some fantastic Iranian restaurants to try. Yaas Grill House is one of these places, and it has gained popularity, with two locations just a few blocks apart. We visited the first one we saw, located conveniently off the freeway on Lonsdale. We started our meal with a delicious eggplant dip served with pita bread and house-made pickles. The pita was exceptional, with a beautiful char and perfect texture. I found myself in North Vancouver with some time to kill, so I decided to have Persian food for lunch. The first place I tried was closed, so I ended up at Yaas Grill House. I arrived around 1:15pm on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant busy and bustling. You place your order at the counter, receive a number, and then your meal is brought to your table. If you'd like water, you can help yourself to a glass near the utensils and takeout boxes.

Yaas Bazaar. Yaas Baazar continuosly offers great Persian Kebabs and food at great prices. The new location and management has improved both the service and atmosphere of what is a staple restaurant on Lonsdale. The Saffron Kebab is the juicest selection and the fava bean rice is always great. If you are looking for fast, yummy and always fresh, Yaas is the benchmark for Persian Food lovers!Gigi
The restaurant offers affordable options, with some daily specials priced at only $5.95. You can choose between a large plate of rice or naan. While the taste might not be outstanding, it is still decent. This is a great place to get a large serving of rice at a good price.
The food is delicious, and they always greet you in Persian and continue in Persian. Wait, aren't we in Canada? Making any minor changes to your order will increase the bill. The menu has a great variety, not just kebabs but other dishes worth trying as well.
I recently tried the grilled chicken and lamb skewers at Yaas for the first time and it has quickly become my new favorite dish! I usually stick to my go-to order of Kobideh, but I'm glad I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try the chicken. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This restaurant offers great value for the price. It is a fast food establishment, so don't expect table service. Zeytoon, which is located nearby, charges $8 more for the same dish. The selection of dishes here is excellent.
