As a long-time Bostonian, my first visit to Yafa Bakery Café was a delightful surprise. I was on my way to a dance class at the Deborah Mason School of Dance when I spotted the bakery sign and decided to check it out. It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon around 3:45. Upon entering, a staff member quickly recognized that I was new and generously offered me tastings. I started with a sample of their chai Karak coffee, followed by an assortment of pastries, some with baklava and some without, all while juggling a Dunkin' Donuts coffee in my other hand!
