A Japanese Izakaya located in North Adelaide. It feels like a chilled Japanese bbq skewers Eatery and bar. The food is ok. I would say very average, which I have no problem with. The price here is about $100 per person with a few skewers and drinks. We ordered 2 rounds, after the first round. We found that the dishes' sizes are very small, and some of them were also a bit dry. Therefore we have to order another round of food and drinks. However, it still seems not enough. Not worth the money. Everything is double in price with basic taste, average execution, slow unfriendly service and poor quality ingredients. We stop taking photo after the first few dishes because of disappointment. We did ordered special dish of the day which is stuffed chicken wing. We got 3 small wings with the prize of 24AUD. If the taste is fantastic, we can’t complain but the taste is super average. Other dishes are average as well with the shocking price. Absolutely enjoyed the simplicity of the fresh ingredients, grilled and light seasoning can't quite pin point what the mixed was salt, pepper and ?? but just had a touch of lightness overall were delicious. Tofu, squid, pork belly, smoked duck would love to give it a lighting quick grill a go to enhance the favour instead , checken wing was so perfect. Can't help to try the desert, but I was overly full to finish it off very rich chocolate lava cake yet not overly sweet. Sharing the joy and food with strangers made it so much more enjoyable too. Staff was marvellous. Thank you for my very satisfied taste buds and worth the visit.
Terrible service! Overpriced meals snacks)! They will serve you snacks and call them meals! The meals took nearly one hour! Then one of the waitresses came and checked our table frequently was awful! She was not very nice at all! Yes, we ordered six very tiny portions of meals, and it did take around an hour! And the meat was not delicious! Ridiculous?!? Love this place! The food is amazing, I recommend trying the tempura mushrooms, the green tea salt which they use is fantastic. They also have an extensive Sake menu which is a nice treat on a Friday night. It’s a small intimate dining space with a few booths so It can be hard to get bigger bookings, I recommend booking a week in advance at least.
A chilled Japanese bbq skewers restaurant. Came on a very busy Friday dinner service. The yakitori was above average, some were delicious like the chicken meatballs but some were not so. Staffs were very friendly and service was relatively quick given how busy they were. A good place to catch up with friends, have some drinks and skewers.
Yakitori Takumi is an excellent Japanese restaurant with impeccable service and delicious food. The whole experience was top notch and friendly staff made for a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The recommended sake was awesome and added to the overall experience. Highly recommend!

This place is my favourite place to eat in the whole of Adelaide. The staff are EXTREMELY inviting, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is homey, I couldn’t ask for anything more. 10/10
