I've been visiting this restaurant on and off since it opened, and I went in today hoping to enjoy some delicious food. However, I felt like the wait staff didn't care for me at all. While they were friendly and attentive to other customers, I was mostly ignored and received the cold shoulder as soon as I walked in. Personally, I don’t believe in tipping; I think you shouldn't have to pay extra just for waitstaff to be pleasant. In my opinion, the cooks and sushi chefs deserve the tips, as they are the ones actually preparing the food, while the waitstaff merely delivers it to you.
Ordered the veggie roll and veggie yakiudon; was not disappointed! Very easy to chat with the servers. I have dietary restrictions and they were more than happy to accommodate them. They took the time to make sure every item that I ordered was safe for me to eat. It means a lot to me when a restaurant goes the extra mile to serve me. Best to call ahead and order, I have found, but the wait time was quite minimal if not done. They are very good about their Covid measures, lots of sanitization between people paying.
Went here for a late lunch with my wife on August 5, 2018. We had ebi sunomono, salmon sashimi, and some rolls. The sunomono was good, although I would have preferred a firmer noodle. The rolls were just good, maybe a tad dry. The sashimi was great and the tea was pretty good. In summary, overall it was good and the sashimi was great. The service was prompt, but I don't pay much attention to it. I focus more on the food.
After visiting this place a few times, gotta say its a hit and miss on taste.. soup and noodle dishes can be really salty at times.. service is okay, just hope the older lady isnt the 1 serving you. The sushi wraps tastes all right, nothing special. But sadly they have poor skills in making those rolls stick. They always fall apart. are fair but not for the food quality. It’s baffling why they wouldn’t stagger breaks to ensure customer service. This was a frustrating experience, and they seem to have forgotten who keeps their business afloat. We will not be returning, which is unfortunate for them since we've spent over $1,000 at their restaurant over the years. Shame on you, Yale Sushi.
Coming from Vancouver I tend to have high standards for sushi, and this place needs work in: service promptness, size of the rolls are too big, and flavor is not authentic enough. Unfortunately Chilliwack doesn't have much selection so I come here only for convenience.
Went for dinner before a play at the Cultural Centre. Based on reviews we were hoping for the best. The service was fast, friendly and professional. The food was fresh and very fairly priced. Glad we gave it a try and will definately be back...:
This is a well-appointed Japanese restaurant with a good menu. Service was perhaps a bit slow, but I thought that their Spicy Tofu Bowl was worth waiting for. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The chirashi don at this restaurant is outstanding! The fish was incredibly fresh and generously portioned. The rolls were also fresh and delicious!
