I used to visit this restaurant for dim sum with friends and family, and the food and service were decent. However, my recent experience was extremely disappointing, and I don't plan to return. When we sat down, a woman came over to help us with the table settings. As my family and I were discussing which type of tea to choose, she abruptly interrupted us, insisting that we be quiet so she could set everything up. Her tone and attitude were quite rude. When we went to place our order, we found that some items were unavailable, and she displayed a lack of courtesy in her response. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience.
I really enjoyed their dim sum; it's high quality and surpasses many long-established dim sum restaurants. The dan dan noodles are also delicious, with the noodles generously coated in a flavorful house-made spicy sauce. The seating is spacious and comfortable, making for an enjoyable dining experience. While the service could be improved—likely due to staff shortages—the food is served promptly. Plus, the restaurant offers covered parking, which is a nice bonus.
Love their Har Gow (steamed shirimp dumplings) I had har gow several times in my Hong Kong trips before, Yan yu's har gow is good as much as I had in HK.It was hard to have a chance to order and to ask something to a server, and pretty slow because she was the only server when I visited. The manager informed us that the beef noodles we ordered would take awhile because they’re waiting for the noodles to be delivered. The shrimp dumplings were not thoroughly cooked so the manager said he’ll prepare a new order. We were there for 3 hours having a quick lunch before my flight.

Bright dim sum spot in a new plaza off Sheppard. Service was great the gentleman working refilled our tea and checked in on us during the meal. Dishes tasted good and at a good price point. They validate parking for dine in customers which is a plus!
