Great experience every time! It is my goal for the late night to eat when I am in town (for those of you who are not familiar with Hawaii, on Oahu we refer to the city of Honolulu as city). There is a late night menu with specials. There are also combo plates that share a funny way and try a variety of dishes / sushi. The last time I went, my friend and I got the special of the chef of Sushi (educated) and it was delicious and unique. Remember that there may be a waiting period if you have no reservation. Good quality sushi but expensive for what you get. We got the sashimi platter that was just okay compared to others we've had and was nore expensive at $75+, sake flight, and two nigiri that easily fell apart and it was $130 and I was still hungry. Don't bother trying to park in the lot. Street parking was easy. Overall, too expensive for what we got. We will try other places next time.
By far the best food on our entire trip. Extremely fresh fish. Authentic Japanese environment with quality serving staff. Reservation was required, but they accommodated a reservation within an hour of calling mid-day. The fried baby octopus (tako) appetizer and the Volcano Roll were amazing, the Dragon Roll was also fantastic.
A friend of mine brought me some sushi from here and it was pretty delicious. I'm usually not a sushi person and if I didn't like sushi in Hawaii, I would never have it again. Yanagi Sushi definitely left this door open. I honestly can't tell you what I ate, but I enjoyed everything, especially the salmon.

I love going to Yanagis, whether it's for lunch or for her late night happy hour. Your food is on site and I usually like their set combination meals. Parking is only up to 8pm I believe and then after 8pm is self parking. This is one of my favorite restaurant spots for every special occasion.
We enjoyed lunch here. Parking fronting restaurant is valet. Or you can street park depending on time of day. Menu is extensive and sushi are good ! It’s also very affordable. Atmosphere is casual and a little older but it retains the Japanese style ambiance. Service was excellent.
Great food, great experience. Other than sushi, my personal favorite here are udon and steamed egg. They are freshly made unlike a lot of other famous “udon places”. It is just so different when you have the noodles and soup and even bowl hot.
Late night special is insane! Get yourself a bottle of hot sake and a tonkatsu combo. You can upgrade the chicken to beef. My wife was not ready for the wasabi stuffed inside their nigiri

If you want Hokkaido uni, you have to get the Omakase plate. The single piece order would only get you Santa Barbara uni.
You would think sushi is just sushi but not here. These guys are masters at work. Their sushi is awesome. Go get some.
