The Strathcathro Service area on M90 is considered one of the worst service areas in the UK. I have visited this place multiple times while driving a lorry and also with my family on leisure trips. The only reason we stop here is because of its convenient location, there is no other appeal. The main service area is only open from Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm, which is quite inconvenient for a main trunk road. The facilities appear to be outdated and have not been renovated since the 1970s. The only part that is open on weekends is the petrol station, which has a messy store with limited facilities. There is always a long queue for the one toilet available, forcing people to wait in the poor...
This restaurant is fantastic! While it may have an old-fashioned vibe, the quality of the food here is top-notch. For truck drivers, paying £30 for parking and receiving a £20 food voucher is unheard of elsewhere in the UK. There is a wide variety of delicious food options to choose from and plenty of tables available. If you're passing by, be sure to give this place a try, especially for overnight parking. I can't understand why there are any negative reviews for this restaurant.
What an absolute dump these services are, they must be the worst in the whole of the U.K. Here again in a Saturday yes the main services are closed, even though it’s busy with vehicles pulling in. So we are reduced to queuing for the one toilet in the petrol station service station. Absolutely appalling services these, I do not recommend this place at all, but there’s nowhere else to stop on the A90 the main Aberdeen-Dundee trunk road.
This place is fantastic. Nothing like it. The shop sells unbelievable tat. Unicorns, scary dolls etc. There was a near full size plastic horse last time I was there. Coffee surprisingly good. Really good house plant selection for some reason. Just have a sausage butty and revel in the tat. Bogs are interesting! If you’re in the area The Horn is another must see about 7 miles south of Dundee.

Fresh off the Northlink ferry from Lerwick we were in search of a hearty breakfast and we certainly weren't disappointed. The cheerful waitress served us bacon rolls, sausage link rolls, tea and a tattie scone. Delicious, hearty fare and not a corporate logo in sight. We'll be back!
Best maccaroni in scotland by far, lovely and helpful staff and lots of interesting gifts, toys and ornaments from the shop. Definitely recommend, toilets may not be the most modern or clean, but the food and staff certainly make it a must stop!
The service at this restaurant was terrible. Our server, Paul, was extremely rude and arrogant. We will not be returning. It's a shame because our first impressions were good, but unfortunately, that is not always a good indicator.
Home made food ! Real tatties and mince ! Just like my mum used to make! 10/10 A very welcome stop off on a long journey. Take out , which was good for me. Mainly truckers stopped, service was fas and faultless

Best steak gravy pie I've ever had. Staff were helpful and polite to us mere Englanders. It's not the Ritz and all the better for it.
Not open for eating-in. I was on a motorbike and looking for somewhere to warm up. So I had to gang faurther.
