FAO: management , Usually we visit the ye old inn and there has not been any problems but, today at around 12:30 I visited this establishment with my mum and my auntie. We were in for some lunch. Me and mum ordered ‘the big cheese’ burger and it came out in a timely manner. My auntie had informed the waitress that she was gluten free upon ordering her meal and was assured that she could have the meal and was offered a gluten free bun but did not want that and instead had chips and coleslaw and the burger with bacon and cheese. We’ve been coming here for years now and I don’t know what’s happened recently but the service has been getting worse and worse each time we go in. Staff just standing behind the bar when they used to come to the table for food orders. We have experienced much better service and hopefully this is just a blip and I’ll happily edit the review if we experience better service next time but I feel it’s important that it’s noted that the last few times we did not find it good.
Such a lovely place and atmosphere to eat and socialise in. I did not have to book. Took me and my friend with no issues. Beautiful conservatory restaurant/pub grub. Did not see the accessible entrance but didn't look around. The staff spoke to us. It is just a lovely place. Toilets. Disabled toilet. Baby changing facilities. Could not see any car parking facility.
I had the Sunday chicken roast, and my niece had the Sunday beef roast. Both were great, but we slightly preferred the chicken. The sides were wonderful also. I was so happy that everything was seasoned properly. Other places seem to use too much salt. Next time, I might ask bit more gravy.

Visited Edinburgh and popped in for a bite to eat. Way bigger than you first think. Spacious great beer garden. Food was fantastic as everyone had something different. All arrived together and staff were so friendly and polite. Great service all round. Love to go back.
The ambience of the restaurant is charming and the food is delicious. Most of the staff members were friendly, but there was one who completely ignored me when I asked for a drink. Despite clearly hearing me, she walked away without acknowledging my request.
G Really friendly helpful staff, great service and excellent food. We were also treated to an unexpected evening of song and music from The Ukeleles. Every Monday from 6.30pm , get along there for a real treat.
