I hate having to write this review for Ye Ole Fashioned Ice Cream, especially since I work in the back of house and understand that mistakes happen. However, every time I order from their menu, the quality has been disappointing. I keep giving them chances because I really enjoy their ice cream, but my most recent order was a letdown. My chili dog was drenched in chili to the point it looked unappetizing, and I lost my appetite before even taking a bite. I know chili dogs can be messy, but this was excessive. On top of that, my fries, which were supposed to be plain, came soaked in cheese. This marks the fourth or fifth time I've paid more for food that ends up being worse than the Sonic jus...
The food was far from enjoyable. It feels like an outdated establishment that relies mainly on its decent location to draw in customers. While the ice cream might be decent, I wouldn't suggest coming here for lunch. The staff are friendly, but the food quality is so poor that I can't rate this place higher than 2 stars.
I don't understand the hype surrounding this place. The staff is friendly, but the food tastes frozen. The burgers, fries, and the Philly cheesesteak are all disappointing. I don't think it's worth the price or the trouble. Everything seemed prepackaged, and my burger wasn't good at all—they even gave me two top buns!
A wonderful nostalgic experience! The restaurant offers distinctive ice cream flavors and an excellent dinner menu. Both the shrimp po' boy and tuna salad sandwich were absolutely delicious.
