I'll start by saying, the food was really good, and if the review were only on food, I'd give them a 5 star (but I admittedly very rarely review anything). However, due to the extremely poor service, I'm finally reviewing to hope to provide some useful constructive criticism to fix the service issues to the business owner. Situation: We ordered online, and when I got to the store, my order was switched with someone else and I didn't realize it until I got back home. I called back to ask let them know and expected a resolution response to calm my frustration down. I would recommend for the owner to confirm the mistake (eg ask what order I I got and what I ordered, so you know I'm not scamming...
The food at this restaurant is good, but trying to order delivery from them is absolutely ridiculous. Their website offers an option to "order online," but does not provide any tracking or updates on your order. I waited over an hour and twenty minutes for my delivery, even though the restaurant is only a 5-minute drive away. If I had known I would have so much trouble, I would have just taken an Uber or walked there to get my order myself. Additionally, the "driver" information updated twice, stating that the food was picked up at 7:02 pm, but I had to call the restaurant at 7:35 pm to find out that the food was just being prepared. If I wanted to cancel my order or get a refund, I was told...
I waited on hold for 10 minutes while the person was handling multiple orders, which was frustrating but understandable. However, when the person finally returned to the phone, they said, "Place your order quickly as I have others waiting," in a rude tone that made me upset. The tone and statement were enough to make me decide not to place my order today (and possibly not in the future), and instead write this review. I have been a loyal patron of this local restaurant despite previous issues with service, as the food has always been good. However, they need to improve their customer communication skills, especially when dealing with a patient customer who was willing to wait on hold.
I used to work in the same building as Yen's and this was my favorite lunch spot. The menu is vast and full of delicious authentic Taiwanese and Chinese dishes. They have the normal American Chinese fare such as General Tso's chicken and Lo Mein, which is good too, but you'd be doing yourself a major disservice by sticking to those more familiar dishes. Some of my favorites are Minced Pork with String Bean (the one served with yummy buns), Taiwanese Fried Chicken, Taiwanese style Cabbage (nappa cabbage with pork belly), and 3 cups chicken. I miss working so close by, but luckily I live 20 minutes away so I make a point to eat here at least a few times a year.

The customer service at this restaurant is top-notch. The owner was very friendly and willing to accommodate our preferences for how we wanted our food prepared. The dishes were absolutely delicious, some of the tastiest tofu, vegetables, and fried rice I've ever tried. The service was also quick, with our food being served promptly. A great dining experience overall.
The Taiwanese-style fried chicken was slightly salty, but incredibly tasty. It is served with a small side of rice. This dish is considered the best in the Northern Virginia area.
Saw the owner posted a customer' check somewhere on internet. I would feel my privacy is invaded if the restaurants I went doing the same thing.
I don't understand why Chinese restaurants still do not allow customers to dine in. They seriously just close the door.

They have great food. I like their King Oyster Mushroom with Tofu, and I like their Lo Mein. I’m regular there.
