Yo Mama's gave my husband and I one of the very best gluten free meals I have ever had. The staff was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The fried shrimp and chicken and waffles were pure magic. We visited during my first ever trip to Birmingham and I will definitely be back. I didn't take pictures of the food because we ate it so fast. Trust me, it looked great too.Dietary restrictions: Almost everything is gluten free! They are very knowledgeable.
My sister and uncle ordered the shrimp and grits and got 3 shrimp a plethora of smoked sausage that they didn't order and it was drenched in some red oily sauce that they didn't order. My sister and I had the French toast it was very soggy and the watery curdled home made syrup just made it worse. The grits were very gritty. The best thing I ordered was the fruit punch. Customer service mediocre.
First off i am from Vidalia Georgia and I am 100% willing to make the 5 hr trip to eat here again! Crystal is an absolutely amazing person and knows how to run a business. I had the chicken and waffle and i chose wings instead of tenders and i will NEVER regret that decision the were so good and i suggest getting the hot peaches with the waffles they are delicious.
I got the daily special (fried chop with 2 sides) it was phenomenal! Everything was really good, the Mac n cheese was extra good. The service was great, very welcoming and hit us with the specials and people's favorites right off top. I'm from 2 hours away and will be making a trip back just to eat here again. A must stop if you’re in Birmingham for any reason. The staff is amazing, with quick turn around on orders. The food is awesome, with lots of gluten and dairy free options. We have been loyal patrons for at least 7 years and stop as often as we can.
Loved it! Stopped on way to Pamama City Beach and could not have had better or friendlier service! The team was very sensitive to gluten and dairy free options. Food was fantastic! Fried Oreos RULE!!
Catfish, fried hard. Absolutely insane! Place was packed out for lunch, and moved quickly. Great staff, chill atmosphere. Everything feels fresh.

The best fried catfish that I have had in a while. The breading is lighter than most. The hush puppies were tasty and the cheesy grits were too.
