The food was just average, with quality differing depending on what you order. The chicken and waffles were underwhelming; although the chicken complemented the gravy nicely, the waffles were quite dry and seemed like they had been frozen. On a positive note, the sausage and banana nut bread were tasty. However, given the quality of the dishes, the prices here are quite high. The presentation of the food is attractive, though. I would suggest checking out a cozy diner instead. Plus, finding parking can be a real hassle.
I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, and it was absolutely delicious! The waffles had little bits of bacon inside, which was a delightful surprise. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy and incredibly tasty. The scrambled eggs were fantastic as well. I also tried the cheesy grits, and they were amazing! My husband ordered pancakes, sausage links, bacon, and seasoned potatoes, and he enjoyed his meal just as much. We have no complaints about YOLK; everything we had was delicious!
I ordered the Chicken and Waffles with gravy on the side. Unfortunately, the chicken was thin and dry, and while there were plenty of waffles, they were also thick and dry. I took a few bites but ultimately stopped eating because it just didn't taste good. However, I'm open to giving the place another chance to try their sweet brunch options. On a positive note, the service was excellent.
I tried the country skillet, and my wife went with the sausage, potatoes, and cheese grits. Every dish was fantastic—the potatoes were seasoned and cooked just right. Our drinks, strawberry lemonade and pineapple juice, were fresh and flavorful. The coffee was top-notch, and our server Jenna was both attentive and charming.

This restaurant is fantastic for breakfast or brunch! I tried the California omelette and the Benedict Caprice, both of which were incredibly delicious. Don’t miss out on the salted caramel latte; my husband and I absolutely love that drink! The waitstaff and the rest of the staff were really friendly, too.
Yolk - Oak Park is a very comfortable restaurant that offers its own parking lot, which is a real convenience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly service. The menu is excellent, and the food is delicious!
I had a fantastic breakfast! The five-egg omelet felt a bit overwhelming, so I decided to skip it. The interior was bright and welcoming, filled with natural light. Overall, it was an excellent experience!
The food at Yolk - Oak Park was outstanding, and I’m looking forward to coming back. The menu has a great selection, and the prices are fair. The only downside was that parking nearby was hard to find.
