The older waitress was rude and unprofessional, lacking any friendliness. I should have left as soon as I noticed her blatant attitude—it was definitely a red flag. The food itself was disappointing; I couldn't even finish my bento box because the shrimp had what appeared to be feces on it—green residue all over the tempura shrimp. When I asked her to remove the tempura from the bill, she was unaccommodating and insisted that they don't devein shrimp at this establishment, acting as if it were perfectly normal to serve shrimp that looked like that. It was absolutely appalling! Additionally, the older man cooking in the back shot us an angry look when the waitress returned our food to the kit...
I sat at the sushi bar, which was both comfortable and fascinating as I watched them prepare our food. They offer vegetarian options, and there are dishes available to accommodate nearly all dietary restrictions. Parking is located behind the restaurant. It's reasonably kid-friendly, and the wheelchair accessibility is good, making it easy to enter and exit. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience for dinner.
The foods are great and we love it. I ordered spider roll and another baked salmon roll, which is not the best but the spider roll is great. The price is pretty decent as well. The sushi here is delicious! I've visited this restaurant several times. While the service isn't particularly friendly, it's not rude either. I've tried various rolls, the salmon bento box, and sake. Whenever I'm in Hayward and craving sushi, this is my go-to place.
