Yummy House Restaurant

Cheap and quick are the positive points about Yummy House. Place your order at the counter, pay for it, then go around the side where your order is plated from the prepared food in the large steam table. Sort of like a cafeteria of mall food court. No, the food does not taste authentic, though most of it is quite palatable. Chow mein, orange chicken and beef with mushrooms are good. The Szechuan ginger beef...well...you can't taste the ginger; probably because it's cooked in a sauce that tastes of molasses! But I like molasses and enjoyed the dish. This restaurant used to be inside the Superstore and they moved to their current location about 8 years ago.The food is pre-cooked so for obvious reasons it is best to go when the food is at is best at lunch time. The menu is traditional Chinese food. They have eat-in and take out service. It does not look from the outside like a large restaurant but there is a surprising number of tables and chairs inside. They have put some loving care in the layout, furniture and decor. Last time I was there I had a late-quick-lunch so I took chow main and broccoli beef. It was fine.The prices are VERY reasonable. Had to take a fairly quick lunch break from a course one day.Strolled by and noticed this location.Saw the window ad and the sidewalk special board.Decided to give it a shot. I am glad I did.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick Chinese food fix, especially the portions given are huge. Then again, it could have been a slow day and I lucked out!Go try it. (I couldn't finish my 3 piece combo with noodles. Go small !)

This is our favourite Chinese food restaurant in town. We usually order take out and are pleased with the quality and the quantity of the food for your money. Quite a good selection of dishes and you can enjoy all you can eat if you dine in. The restaurant itself is in need of updating but that doesn't deter patrons in any way. Good value and good food.

Yummy House is an inexpensive buffet style Chinese restaurant. The food is better than average and they have a really good selection. Portions are quite large and prices are very good.There are times when they don;t have what you are looking for but overall I have always been happy with their food.

If you want indigestion go here. I think this place must load their food with msg.Every Time I went there I got heartburn after.The food is premade so you just go in and they load you up.If your in a hurry you could stop here.If you want good chinesey food there are much better places in Mission

Great food every time I have been there. We always phone our order in for pick-up but there is a small area where you can sit and eat.I have found that there can be some confusion at times from the staff taking the order over the phone, a lot of high-school students work there.

Not the best Chinese in town, but if you dont have time to wait for food, this place is perfect. Generous combo portions. Too bad some of the help is lacking customer service skills. Consistently good food and lots of choices makes up for the employees lack of knowledge.

Great flavour, MSG free! Will eat there again. Favorite of mine is their Chow Mein. Eat in or take out. Fast service so very convenient. Best prices for combo which includes a beverage.

Very filling, lots of food but too sugary and fattening. Not at all authentic Chinese cuisine. Red flag for anyone with diabetic problems.
