I discovered this hidden gem about six months into my trips, when I grew tired of the usual post-work dinners. First time here, service was great, food not so much. I asked for enchiladas rojas, but they were mole enchiladas, you could taste that the mole came from a jar, not home made, in my humble opinion... My wife asked for gorditas of rajas de chile. The chile was boiled not roasted, so the flavor was very bland.
The food at this restaurant is amazing! I highly recommend trying the taco de papas. The prices are reasonable, but the bathrooms could use some more attention and the new waiters need better training. However, if you're looking for consistently delicious and authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go!
Food is usually pretty good. The kitchen is disgusting though. Walked past several times and the floor and cooking area is always unclean. Service is good but need to be more proficient with the English language. Prices are also steep.

Zacatacos and asada tacos are the reason I drive 1 hour to Chicago just to eat. The flavor of roast beef is unmatched. I love them!
Man why is this place falling off. It’s not only expensive but the food isn’t as fresh as it used to be. Smh.
Burritos and tacos are amazing. Rice isn't anything to write home about beans were decent as well.
