A family owned Afghani restaurant in north Scarborough . If you want juicy fried chicken , you want their broast chicken . Their special way of pressure cooking and frying is so good ! Their fries are a must , and if you are a gravy lover for sure get it . I have been there many times and so excited to eat the food I have forgotten to take pictures . They are open late some days and have picnic tables outside to dine on. Very friendly staff and owners , so helpful . Everyone that’s been there with me has loved the food . Zaitoun has quickly become a beloved choice for both our family and our visiting guests. The food is consistently delicious, portion sizes are generous, and the staff is exceptional. We have sampled a variety of dishes from their menu and have never been disappointed – the taste, quality, and quantity are always on point. We highly recommend dining at Zaitoun, as you can't go wrong. Be sure to try their cajun fries, they're a must-have! One small suggestion would be to consider opening a location with greater foot traffic, so that more people can experience this fantastic restaurant.
We are frequent customers at this restaurant! We absolutely love this place and cannot get enough of their delicious spicy steak fries, which are served in a generous portion. The service is very friendly, and we have tried various other dishes during our visits, including the tandoori chicken with salad (very tasty), waziri plate (very good), fried chicken (excellent), and both the chipotle and BBQ ribs (satisfactory). There is plenty of parking available and the seating is decent for the size of the restaurant. We can't wait to return again, thank you!
I would rate the ribs 10 out of 10 and the fried chicken 9 out of 10 at this restaurant. I really enjoyed the delicious food and their garlic sauce. Although we ordered ahead of time for three people, our food arrived a bit later than anticipated. The ribs were incredibly flavorful and tender, practically falling off the bone. We came to Zaitoun on a fine Sunday afternoon. We went for the Steak Sandwich and the Beef Shami Kabab Plate. The Steak was cooked to perfection and the mushrooms complimented it extremely well. I loved the taste and the sandwich was very filling. The beef plate was great in its own way. I heavily recommend this place and all the meat being Halal was an easy choice.Dietary restrictions: Halal meat
Steak sandwich quality went down significantly. I used to love getting that here. Used to be a 5 star option. However recently I noticed more mushrooms onions instead of actual meat. Considering the price they should do better.
