My husband and I are from Brisbane and we were visiting a friend and on our way home we decided to have a light snack for afternoon tea. I've never had Turkish coffee before but It was served in such a way that it was hard not to have a second, third or fourth cup at zehni's. Served in these shiny silvery covered cups, it was a delight to drink from. The staff were nice and friendly and the desserts were yummy. Their baklava was not to sweet but just right. It was a memorable experience. We were craving zehni's coffee and sweets as soon as we got back to Brisbane. Definitely coming back for afternoon tea here.
We were looking for a Turkish restaurant in Gungahlin and found this one. It was a little bit quiet when we were looking from the outside but we decided to give it a try. We ordered chicken kebab plate and mixed meats pide. The servings are quite generous but we aren't big eaters. The pide and chicken kebab plate were delicious. We ended up having half of them to take home as we were so full. Prices are reasonable and service was good. They seems to have more delivery than dine-in. We will be back to try other dishes next time and will be conscious of the servings size.
We opted for takeaway Turkish to share with a group of 3 adults and two kids. The Turkish pizzas were fabulous, as were the lamb and chicken skewers, spring rolls and zucchini balls. The rice was superb. Our daughter-in-law over-ordered and enjoyed leftovers for the next day or so - servings were generous and filling. We'll go back for another shared meal but will order less!
Thought of staying in and getting a home deliver -bad bad bad idea. Kids had to have some cereal and went off to bed. Called the shop twice to check on the order only to be told it would arrive 'soon'. Never again are we doing a home delivery. If we knew it was going to take close to 2hrs, we would have driven there ourselves. Truly disappointing :-(

Ordered home delivery and understood that this would be an hour or so ... 2 hours later on phoning we were informed it had been delivered NOT TRUE, then told it was on its way ALSO NOT TRUE. Another half hour and another phone call "it's just leaving now" NOT TRUE 3 hours after ordering we received piping hot food WITH NO APOLOGY WHATSOEVER.
I had a banquet with some Colleagues who are a pretty hungry crowd and we could not get through all of it. Everything was tasty, service quick and for what we got it was value for money. The only downside was I found the meats a bit salty to my taste. The best was the really excellent Hummus and flatbreads I could eat all day.
We stopped in for a lunch banquet and although the service was great and serving generous some of the food was salty especially the dips to the pied pizza. The prices have increased making the previously value range dinner a mid priced meal. We had eaten here when it first opened, but the flavours are a little different.
Been here a few times and don't have a bad thing to say. The food is in large portions and at quite a good price. The service is always very good and you're made to feel very welcome. Probably the best Turkish I've had in Canberra.

Great staff at Zehni's Turkish Kitchen. Eager to please resulting in a very enjoyable and delicious evening. I went with my husband and my son and nothing was too much for the Staff at this establishment.
The restaurant has a nice Mediterranean deco. Service is good. Very good value for the money. Highly recommend their succulent kebabs!!
