We had a late lunch here before our flight to New Zealand. We picked this place after walking around from our motel and checking out various restaurants within walking distance. We walked in and got one of the few open tables. The restaurant serves mainly dim sum from rolling carts. I checked out the menu and spotted baked bbq pork buns my absolute dim sum favorite so I immediately ordered 2 orders and was told they were sold out and not making any more for the day! What a bummer. So we ordered a bunch of other items such as sticky rice (great), spare ribs (okay), beans (okay), and other items. Only one dish was bad a white mushy thing that I ordered by mistake. Service was on the slow side...
Attended Chinese New Year event at the Zen Peninsula. Large room fit over 300. Event itself was well organized by Rotarians. Tables of ten a bit tight but plenty of room for access between tables including performance by Lion Dancers. Parking can be difficult in their lot but there is plenty of street parking available within a block. Food was a ten course meal including fish, chicken and beef. Each course served family style and in all cases there was some available for second servings.
The floor managers are having bad attitudes if you only order to go. They don't say thank you or anything nice to me. The quality is poor! One of the manager threw my credit card on the table asking me to sign it! Above all this restaurant is not following Covid-19 restrictions and protocols, and there is one manager pulled down his mask and sit down to speaking with customers. The food is quantified reduced and the prices are high. NEVER COME AGAIN!
I am giving 2.5 star rating to this place, for dim sum only. Everything, including the customer service, is alright. The bowls for entree like fried rice were dirty. I needed to wipe it with tea and napkins to clean dirty spots. However, I was the surprise the wait was not bad. That's why I added 0.5 in the rating.

Unbelievably bad. They don't have customers for a reason. The food isn't fresh. The dining room is dusty, they haven't cleaned it in years and they can't even afford to open most of the lights. They aren't going to survive much longer.
The food remains very similar to what it was before the pandemic. Unfortunately, they will be closing at the end of this year because the land will be developed into a new hotel. I will really miss their seafood dinners.
Very bad attitude! No service at all. Discrimination for order to go! Never greet never say thank you! Does not appreciate business. Arrogant and take for granted. Will never come again.
The best dim sum in San Bruno! The waitstaff is excellent, and the food is hot and fresh. I especially love the har gow, sui mai, and beef meatballs.
