I tried the ramen but it didnt taste good to me. Maybe it's just me but the meat always comes out lukewarm. And there is a lot of skimping on some of the dishes. But the one that did fill me up was the katsu bowl. The one I disliked the most was the karage chicken, it was like $9 and only for a few pieces. You have to order lots of things to get full here . . . Come here if you just want to snack on something. And I dont even want to get started about the time I counted my change before paying because I didn't have much dollars and I had to keep scavenging for change because they just took my money and then counted my change quickly even though there was a lot of change to count . . . But so...
I love the place on Garfield in Parkland- Amazing! The one on So Tacoma Way- not so much if you have a shellfish allergy. I gave them 2 chances. The 1st time, I asked for a Burrito minus shell fish. They had no idea what to tell me. I ordered the Firecracker Burrito. It had imitation crab which often contains shrimp juice. Bad experience. I went back a month later and asked the same. They refused to substitute for the imitation crab without a charge. I'd have accepted additional rice or Lettuce or most anything. I ended up ordering spicy tuna nachos. Again had to have the fake crab left off with no substitution. Not going back. Lame.
Honestly the taste was alright, the chicken buns lacked the sauce, theyre usually generous with. They are also known for their beautiful presentation for their Sumo Chicken Katsu Dupbap felt very sloppy and I barely have enough rice, some of the chicken felt dry and hard to chew. also I didnt get my extra sauce. Ill always have love for this restaurant, just didnt deliver the quality and quantity I always know they do.
The Tonkatsu ramen slaps. I always get extra eggs and fish cakes. Chicken buns never disappoint, great little light lunch, looks small but filling. Pop rock burrito is also a banger, very tasty and huge portion, if you think you need two, ...trust me you dont. Learn from my mistakes.
Not my favorite Zen for sure, The food was good it was just the service. I can see you leaving the walk in cooler door open, and if you’re talking to a coworker it shouldn’t be so loud that I can hear it at the table. Kind of a weird spot, the one on Garfield is much better
Went here for the first time cause me and the family were hungry and craving ramen. This places was unexpectedly delicious and will be our go to local ramen joint. For sure coming back here to try the other ramen options out. Would highly recommend to friends and family.
Some of the worst tonkatsu I’ve had. Broth is bland, egg can barley be called seasons. Almost as much bean sprouts as there were noodles. Giant waste of money. Save yourself the experience and just go to My Lil Cube in
I ordered the chicken buns and veggie love and pop rock sushi burrito all were yummy! Our family has ordered from this restaurant at least twice a month food is amazing thank you so much.
Food is always consistent in quality, made in a timely manner, and always delicious!! By far one of the best Ramen Sushi Burrito places in town!
