went for lunch and we were very impressed with the location, the food and the service...it was our first time but certainly won't be the last we had the pea and ham soup which was delicious and served with crusty bread or garlic bread. my father had fish and chips which he really enjoyedwe were amazed to see that they had Welsh cakes .....first time we've seen them for sale in OZ. we bought 6 and they were delicious, exactly like my Welsh husbands mum used to make....if you go there, which I'd highly recommend, be sure to try the Welsh cakes!
So disappointed, it was like going to a truck stop, but the truck stop would have had more food on the big breakfast, not one thing was worth eating, the mushrooms with spinach and haloumi was tasteless, when you cook mushrooms you need to enhance their flavour, putting hot mushrooms on fresh spinach creates slime. Coffee, you need to get a real barista. With such a fabulous spot, people flock here, but you would loose at least 80% of all new walk ins with the well below par food.
Arrived just before midday which was a good thing as being such a nice day it filled up quickly. It was the first day of a new menu and the selections were enticing. The staff were attentive and helpful which made the visit even more pleasant. The prices on the menu are slightly on the expensive side for a cafe but if you wish to enjoy the setting , relax and partake of good cafe style meals then the Zephyr is a nice place to do it.
We went for brunch with a couple of friends. The kiosk is in a great spot and river view is fantastic. I payed $80 for three simple breakfasts for my kids and myself. The food is ok but nothing espectacular and, in my opinion, it should be better at that price.Yes, I may go back because the spot is wonderful and maybe lunch menu is better. I am not sure but let's try again one day.

The location, being right on the river, is what makes this place special. The food is run of the mill cafe style but decent tucker. In summer it is a lovely spot, especially with kids as there is plenty grass to run around, also can pop in after a kayak, just pull it up on the beach and walk in.
On one of the few sunny days we had in Fremantle, we had lunch outdoors at the cafe. The fish was excellent - cooked in a light crisp batter. Lovely spot overlooking the Swan river, with lots of boats to-ing and fro-ing. Very pleasant park close by - a great place to take a stroll after lunch.
We walk past here walk the time and finally decided to drop in for breakfast. We should have kept walking. The poached eggs were mediocre. The toast pedestrian. The coffee was undrinkable. Only saving grace was the side of bacon.
We meet here weekly for coffee and a chat and occasionally a snack. The coffee is good, the location wonderful. Riverside views 5m away. What more could you ask for on a sunny autumn day?

Great location overlooking the river. Lunch was tasty and delicious food. Their cake cabinet looked very enticing and we also treated ourselves to their yummy cakes
