Our time here could be described as a rollercoaster of a night. I went with my partner and our friend visiting from Korea. We got to the door, my korean friend went up and asked one of the servers about the wait time, and she didn't get the best experience and response (in her opinion), so not a great start. Wait time was an estimated at an hour and a half but it ended up being 15 mins. We got seated downstairs, and enjoyed some of the best Korean food I've tried in the city. I'm not a big fan of seafood dishes, but the tofu seafood soup we tried was probably one of the favourites amongst our table. I visited Zoomak Korean Tavern with a friend, and it truly left an impression. The atmosphere is cozy with a subtle vintage charm, and the food is an absolute celebration of flavor. We started with the kimchi pancake crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and rich with the bold taste of kimchi and seafood. Then we tried the kimchi fried rice aromatic, well balanced, with a gentle kick of spice and great texture. The soft poached egg on top added creaminess, while the crispy shallots gave it a nice contrast. The ssam experience was a highlight. Ordered the Han Sang lunch special with beef ribs $29). Everything on that tray was delicious. Despite the small portions of side dishes, it was a complete meal and very filling. The Blueberry Yuzuade was very refreshing. I think they used cider? I wasn't expecting that, maybe I didn't read the drink description properly but I liked it. The mint makes it hard to drink through the straw though. Would definitely come again.

I recently had lunch at Zoomak with a friend and decided to try the unagi lunch special. The portion size was quite generous, and the service was impressive with its high quality. It's best to visit in the evening to bypass the parking and traffic challenges in Vancouver. The food was excellent—definitely try their pizza, which comes in generous portions and is absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly, and I look forward to visiting again!

The champpong here is really excellent, packed with a generous serving of seafood. The naengmyeon with galbi is also fantastic. Be prepared for a bit of a wait during lunch hours. The staff is hardworking and very friendly.

One of the best Korea restaurant in downtown. Tried both lunch and dinner. Everything on the menu taste good. Nice atmosphere and great service. Best seafood cake I ever had. Also have good drink
