I had really hoped that the new ownership would bring improvements to this deli, but my recent lunch experience was quite disappointing. When I ordered my sandwich, I noticed the woman making it was actually smelling the meat to figure out what it was. I specifically requested Boar's Head chicken but not the Buffalo flavor, and unfortunately, I still ended up with the Buffalo. I also asked for the chicken to be sliced thin, but instead, I received six thick slices. To top it off, the roll was stale and crumbled with every bite. I've never written a review before, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I called ahead to place an order and arrived just 15 minutes later, only to find that they hadn't even begun preparing it. The whole purpose of calling ahead is to make sure my order is ready when I arrive. Otherwise, what’s the point of offering this service? I might as well have just ordered when I got there. It was really frustrating.
I called to ask about placing a delivery order, but the woman who answered was rather rude. She abruptly said no and then hung up on me. It would have been more helpful if she had simply explained that they don’t offer delivery or suggested that I could pick up my order instead of giving a one-word answer and ending the call. Overall, I was very disappointed with the customer service.
My office has been ordering from 111 Deli for years. Unfortunately, ever since the change in ownership, the quality has declined. The service is slow, the sandwiches and salads are bland, the prices keep changing, and our orders often arrive incorrect. It's disappointing because the location is convenient for us, but we won’t be ordering from here anymore.
