We visited the distillery district to see the lights, but since it was after Christmas, the area was very quiet with only a few lights remaining. However, we decided to have dinner at Archeo Trattoria and were pleasantly surprised. It was our first time dining there. Different people have different tastes, as my partner ordered the Piadini Manzo, which consisted of braised beef short rib, wild local mushrooms, black truffle, black garlic, and golden blyth cheese on a panini with a green salad. I thought it was quite good, but my partner didn't enjoy it as much. I ordered the Farfalle with wild and local mushrooms, black garlic, chestnuts, and truffle nage, which we both found to be delicious...
We had lunch reservations during the Christmas market. First clue should have been it was pretty empty on the last Saturday of the market. Food was ok but pricey for the portions agnolotti-come on Very limited menu selection but the worst was the very...poor service. of us for lunch took forever to get our meals (as mentioned it wasn't even full) or have anyone ask if we wanted a drink refill, not even some bread on the table while we waited. When our meals finally did arrive only meals were served while we waited for the rest of our party's food to arrive which is completely unacceptable not sure where our waitress ran off to as she didn't serve any of the meals and possibly the worst insul...
When I first walked into Atmosphere, I was impressed by the rustic and spacious interior of the restaurant. The atmosphere seemed promising, and I expected a great dining experience. We ordered fried calamari to share, Sicilian Mahi Mahi, and Carbonara. Unfortunately, the calamari portion was small and undercooked, served on a fennel salad. The Sicilian Mahi Mahi was good but not memorable. The Carbonara was a disappointment, as it did not resemble a traditional carbonara dish. The guanciale was soggy and tasteless, and the addition of fermented chillies overpowered the dish. I would recommend removing it from the menu. Overall, the service was great, but the food did not meet our expectatio...
We went for our anniversary during the christmas market and it was the best idea we could have made. The pasta dishes were great, and we tasted a really original apple pear salad. The recommended dessert of the chocolate flourless cake was delightfully surprising....Service was good, they were extremely busy, they had a nice touch for our celebration and they sat us in a quiet table. I foresee this is going to become a well-known place in Toronto, so I would only recommend to book in advance, we fortunately did, and we saw some people getting themselves without a table for not planning in advance! I made a reservation at Archeo for late December. I got a phone call a week before the reservation saying that there had been an error and they had to cancel my reservation because the restaurant would not be open that day. They offered to...make me a reservation at another restaurant in the Distillery District. I ended up making a reservation at another restaurant, and when we went, we saw that Archeo was indeed open for business (big sign outside saying open I'm not sure why they lied about not being open and cancelled my reservation, but I would definitely not recommend.
Very disappointed with the quality of food Thought that for courses was too good to be true..and I was correct The braised short rib panini. .tasteless and served with dried fries Service ok. We were waiting on friends to arrive and literally had...to beg to get something to eat as the server insisted that nothing could be served except what was on the menu Must mention though that they accommodated my friend's allergies.
We had dinner here before a Tapestry Opera performance in the Distillery District. I had the best spaghetti and meatball ever! Homemade pasta made all the difference and the meatballs had great flavoring. My husband had the beef ribs and it’s so tender! Pricing is...reasonable considering it’s in the Distillery District. Will revisit in the future for sure!
My experience at Archeo for a reception and dinner was fantastic. The pre-dinner drinks and appetizers were delicious, as well as the main courses and desserts. I ordered the poached halibut and it was cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and efficient. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We had my daughters wedding here a few days ago and it was beautiful. The weather was sunny so we got to use both inside and out. Everyone had a great time. Wonderful rustic atmosphere and great food
