Ashley, one of the owners, is incredibly welcoming. My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of getting to know her personally during our first visit when she came over to our table. We also had the chance to meet Jennifer, the chef, who is simply amazing. My boyfriend ordered the chicken biscuit and gravy, and when Jennifer came out to check on us, he mentioned how much he loved the sausage gravy. She went above and beyond by bringing over a generous bowl of it. Our server, Anonda, was just as welcoming and hospitable. She recommended trying the peach cobbler waffle that Jennifer had made for the staff, and it was absolutely delicious. I initially wasn't in the mood for waffles, but I'm so glad...
I went to this facility on 03/24/2022. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly hostess, who sits me and my sister. They were so polite and helpful. The waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and helped me make a great dinner choice. As soon as the food arrived, it was hot and the aroma of the food welcomed us immediately before it even tasted something. The feeling of the mouthwater at the anticipation of a delicious meal definitely happened. I enjoyed the Hush puppies, very tasty. It was not dry inside and needed no water for help. here for dinner with another vegan and a non-vegan. the server was pleased to discuss vegan options, and offered to talk with the cook and come with a custom vegan meal for us. we ended up with a starter of domestic riders with ketchup instead of the aioli it would normally come, then meal times of falafel burger with [more] pommes! the chef made big falafel patties, put them on really good bungalows, and added cut tomats, wobbles and salat. the only thing I would have liked better would be if there had been a sauce on them. overall great experience, and they will come with a new menu in about a week with more vegan options, including a escape.
Attention Foodies! Put this place on your list! Intimate and quaint atmosphere. Food that is bursting with flavor. There is something on the menu for every palate. Even got a treat with live music. Visited with friends from out of town who said they would come all the way back just to dine there again! Drinks were so dope!! Had the Wu Tang forever (See menu) and it’s a must if you love Bourbon. this restaurant is located in an opposite without other Veg foods. the chef used to be vegan. please let her waitress know that they are interested in vegan / vegan options, the cook will prepare them to eat some American or Indian style. with a few hours, they can also have a pre-fixed meal for small or large parties. by chance vegan items on the menu are tofu banh mi, plain pizza, vegie pizza, edamame, hummus, and house cut pommes. very friendly restaurant/bar.
I enjoy going to Brunch, but this time I decided to try out their dinner menu! The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the Mango-Ruck wings. Thankfully, we were able to find seating in the back building. The parking lot can get full, so we usually park on the street near the houses across the road. Overall, it was a great dining experience.
PLEASE THUMBS UP IF HELPFUL This was a great meal. First of all it all looked too good to pick just one meal. My friend and I ended up picking on sweet and one savory meal and split them both. Would definitely recommend trying and going back. It has such a interesting style with brick. I love how the decor also served as functional table items.
1861 is everything. From the time we entered to our server Ananda... the chef Jennifer was AMAZING!! We had the opportunity to meet the owner and she was as brilliant as everyone else. This restaurant is a hidden gem with a lot of charm and incredible ambiance. It's a small, tucked away spot with a fascinating story. The food is delicious and the drinks are spot-on. Definitely a great place to gather and enjoy.
