Service is really slipping in Surfers Paradise!I recently attempted to buy a vegan or vegetarian hotdog (based on a friend’s recommendation).The girl behind the counter was busy socialising with a friend and was nothing short of inconvenienced when I entered the store, seemingly interrupting her whilst she was having a chat.She abruptly told me they had no vegan or vegetarian products left (excellent stock control); and when I chirpily thanked her, she simply turned back to her friend and continued with her important catchup. We were walking along surfers paradise trying to choose something for dinner. I saw a 5 Dogs store and thought, let's try it - Im a vegetarian and options are limited however this food place offers vegan options. We were served by the young guy (after waiting about 8 minutes in line, as there was only the one person serving and making food), who used informal language to start off with. Then I asked about an item on the menu, and he, no word of a lie, LAUGHED AND SCOFFED AT ME... for asking about a hotdog on the menu. Get your priorities straight mate, like how rude can you be. Hotdog wasn't even good, very sloppy (and overpriced, around $12, absolutely pathetic). Never EVER eating here agai...
We came to 5 Dogs as we could not find basically anywhere else to eat. It was a big mistake. The hot dogs must have been cooked at the start of the day as they did not taste fresh at all. They are expensive as well which is very surprising. About an hour after I ate it, I felt sick and had to go back to my hotel room and rest while the rest of my family were out exploring. We are never coming to this place again and will not recommend it to anyone.
Hurrah for 5 dogs! Late night munching a or even on the run missions during the day are generally tough when you are a plant based nommer. This place satisfied both my carnivore man and myself, their vegan dogs are delicious and you aren't made to feel like a creepy wider do for ordering it...yes I have a complex haha, vegans have a terrible name! Anyhow, cheap...easy...tasty and everybody wins!

I had a very tasty vegan hot dog ... 5 Dogs is moderately priced for great tasting fast food with vego and vegan options ... the best value for money is their two-for-one Tuesday ... 5 Dogs is a small food stall located in the Valley Mall near McDonalds with heaps of hot dog options
I get the Vegan Kielbasa every time I am out for the night in the Valley. The staff are usually very friendly and food is always great! Have had the meat dogs prior to when I stopped eating meat, and they are great too :)Chips and gravy are vegan friendly and are amazing as well!
really nice hotdogs here. buns are sooooooo soft which is what you want, nice and fresh! not to expensive and a decent size so its good if you have had a night on the drinks in the area! nice chips too!
I have had some terrible food in my time mainly from third world countries but the chilli dog i had today took thr cake. Sausage was so tough i think it walked here from Germany!!!!! DO NOT GO THERE

I got the gravy dog which is sliced roast beef in a hot dog bun topped with brown gravy. The dog and a drink were $5.00, decent food if you need a quick bite to eat.
