My third visit to this restaurant was not a charm, and unfortunately it will also be my last. The five friends who own this place should reach out to their mothers for help in revising their recipes. I ordered the enchiladas verde with shredded beef, but the only flavor present was an overwhelming amount of salt. The beans and rice were bland and lukewarm. The menu does not offer options for common allergens such as wheat or dairy, but substitutes can be requested. The server did not inquire about my satisfaction, but I assume they assumed it was acceptable since I was hungry and finished the small portion. I hope this critique will inspire improvement. the staff here are super friendly and very welcoming, really funny as well! they are super attentive and helpful! the atmosphere is also really nice and is super chill, eating here is great! the portions are large and are really filled, the presentation of the food is super sweet also! the steak quesilidia is really tasteful and REALLY cheese, they will draw a lot of cheese action, it is super good! I also tried some of the carne asada plate that comes with tortilas, and the carne asada is really good. this is great! the personal is great! this place is great for a nice dinner!
The potato taco was delicious! The tortillas are freshly fried and the mashed potatoes are perfectly seasoned. My husband enjoyed his Taquitos Rancheros as well. We especially loved the Sopapillas that came with caramel and chocolate dipping sauces. The small order of chips was enough for our group of 3, but we ended up getting the large bag as well, which was too much. The 16 oz side of salsa was very authentic, but I wish they offered a smaller size in the future because 16 oz was too much.
The food at this restaurant is consistently amazing, whether you choose to dine in or take out. Their ceviche and pozole are always delicious choices. The service is excellent, and the recommended dishes include Shrimp Cocktail, Albondigas, Carne Asada Plate, Tortilla Soup, Chips and Salsa, Chicken Taquitos, and Pozole. The macho burrito is incredibly large! I was surprised by the generous portion for the price. It's a great deal. I highly recommend the chicken filling, it was absolutely delicious. The burrito had ample chicken, just the right amount of rice and beans, and the sauce was tasty.
The food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for families. This is our second visit in three days and we love it here. The availability of ample free parking is a bonus. We will definitely return in the future.
Long live 5 Hermanos! I adore this restaurant. The quesadillas and burritos are amazing. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. Without a doubt, one of the best Mexican restaurants in Washington!
