Good, fresh food in a clean restaurant. You can order a la carte or select one of the combo meals. Parking can be tight when the businesses behind ABC Canteen are busy, but your patience will be rewarded. We had carnitas tacos, chicken tamales, nachos and buffalo chicken wings. Tacos are served naked so you can dress then up from the fresh salsa bar. Notable about the tacos are the fresh corn tortillas. I'm not usually big on corn tortillas, but these have a taste and texture I really enjoyed. The tamale was hot and tasty and the nachos were plenty with ample guacamole and sour cream included. I stumbled on the ABC Canteen purely by accident and boy am I glad I did. It's a small location with great atmosphere and a simple (good) menu. Basically fish and chips, tacos and maybe a bit more. The fish and chips are FANTASTIC. The tacos might even be better! Fresh (like on demand) tortillas for the soft with wonderfully spiced meats that are juicy and as close to perfectly cooked as you can get. Then you find out you can feed a family of 3 for less than 25 dollars and this place is an amazing deal! A robust kids menu and great adult food and flavors ABC Canteen is a huge win for this area!
This is the former location of an Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips that in about April 2015 became the ABC Canteen. After driving by several times, we dropped in yesterday and I am glad we did. The interior has been completely refurbished and sparkling clean. You order from the friendly staff at the counter and eat at one of the tables. Prices are low and the service is great. I love GOOD fish and chips and their fish fillets are very, very good. The tamales and tacos look very inviting and I'll try them next. I highly recommend ABC Canteen.
This restaurant is quite impressive. The service is quick, and the food is served fresh and hot. The tacos were fantastic! You can customize your order by selecting your toppings from the cart. The fish tacos were served hot and crispy on the outside, and they paired wonderfully with tartar sauce or any of the salsas. The al pastor had a nice kick to it, which complemented the smoky sauce perfectly. I paid $8 plus tax for three tacos and a drink.

Delicious. Literally everything I get there is good. The Cod app is fried so well. They're fast and attentive. Give great recommendations. They have a strong following. The prices are reasonable. If I lived or worked closer this would be a problem for my waistline. Every couple of weeks I go out of my way to drive over though,it is that good.
Always fantastic! This is such a wonderful little gem in the neighborhood. The fish tacos, with pico de gallo, green sauce, cilantro, and lime, are something I could eat all day long. Everything we've sampled from the menu has been excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. I'm so disappointed— they are CLOSED!
Without a doubt, this is the best fish and chips in Northern Virginia. The place is exceptionally clean and very reasonably priced. I could eat here every day! The homemade tamales are amazing, along with everything else on the menu. My whole office loves this spot too. Give it a try—you'll love it as well!
