Had a really amazing lunch on Sunday. The service was amazing and the food is of a really high quality. Its a great place for the family or for a date night. We also visited the Curry night (Thursday) and the choice was brilliant. The staff are super friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure they meet your needs. Definitely give it a visit, but make sure you book, its well liked and one of the few places that is busy in January. Thanks to Mark, Nick, Jenny Dani for the warm welcome they provide.
I have been to this lovely pub in St Margarets (Richmond) several times. It has a nice sunny garden. Very friendly and helpful staff. Watched a lot of the cricket there over the summer and they have several screens including one in the garden. They recently closed the children’s play area and put extra seating there. They also have also put up a notice asking parents to keep their children under control and not let them run around. Very sensible in the current circumstance, so top marks for that!
We’ve been going to the Ailsa for many years (off and on). We visited the pub a few months ago and were pleasantly surprised at how busy it was and by the warm welcome we received. We’ve returned regularly and noticed how booked up it got for Thursday curry night. We decided to give it a go. Wow- the curry was absolutely delicious and great value. Friendly welcome, great vibe, diverse customers and fantastic food, it really makes for a lovely night out. They even like dogs!!
The Ailsa is an old style local pub which serves a great range of keg beers, it has a large garden which is lovely on sunny days. Mark the owner and the staff give a warm welcome and are super friendly, they recently started a Thursday Curry Night which serves great curries made by a local lady chef who really know her stuff. It is also great for sporting events and the place gets rammed on Rugby days.

I haven't been to this pub in a while but it has always been very friendly and welcoming. I stopped by with a friend to use the restroom and have a quick drink, but ended up ordering food. We tried the nachos and pizza, and both were amazing! The homemade pizza was especially delicious. I would highly recommend visiting this pub, as they have a lovely garden with cute little booths to enjoy.
I went with my children and some friends for a Sunday roast. We ordered a mix of chicken and beef with extra gravy. The roasts were excellent and the gravy was some of the best we've ever had. One of our friends is vegetarian and she said it was one of the best veggie roasts she's ever had. The staff were also very friendly. We are excited for our next visit.
We just turned up at the pub, no issue seating 5. Sunday lunch was great, huge plateful of meat and veg and the vegetarian option was amended to our request without issue. All came out feeling full!!
THE BEST pub around! Haven't had a roast here in a while....Best decision to come back! Missed the great atmosphere and of course the amazing staff landlord!
