A great little neighborhood gem! My first two visits were great. My third visit was a bit disappointing. I ordered a soba noodle and beef soup bowl. The beef was (as I found out after) from a roast. It was dry and game(y) tasting. I am going to chalk it up to me not being a big red meat eater. Everything else that I have ordered has been delicious though. I would like to see this place adding sushi to the menu instead of the pre-made sushi boxes. The pre-made sushi boxes are still delicious there is just a smaller selection of options. They do have delicious salmon sashimi that goes great with sake and a bowl of miso! I would recommend the Takoyaki in a teishoku/bento. The miso soup is proba...
This is our local Japanese so we often go for a family dinner. The chicken curry udon is really tasty but doesn't ever have enough chicken. Sushi, dumplings and foxy udon(vegetarian) is fab. Make sure you truly a saki trio of taster glasses and you'll be floating out the door. The service is always good, at times it's hard to get a table so book ahead. The price is above average which I occasionally baulk at, but the positives far out way the negatives if you love Japanese food like we do.
The restaurant is tiny (which helps to give a sense of being in a Japanese home). Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was quite good except for the tuna tetaki that was not as fresh as expected in a Japanese restaurant and the sauce was quits strange.

Had the salmon sashimi rice bowl and was not disappointed. Seafood was fresh and portion size was solid. They even offer a Japanese gluten free beer which was great to wash down the large meal.
Their sushi is always fresh and the ramen is so comforting on a cold day. I love coming here for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner with friends. Definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood.

This Japanese restaurant in Seddon is fantastic! In addition to great food, they also have a variety of Japanese items for sale near the kitchen.
