My fiancé and I stopped in for happy hour and were delighted to see that both HH food options could be made vegan. We ordered the chili burrito and margaritas, as well as chips and guacamole. The server let us know that the guac contained buttermilk (weird) but offered a vegan option, which we gladly obliged to. Unfortunately, it was $12 and had HUGE chunks of onions, tomatoes and corn but little flavor. We’re a bit snobbish when it comes to guac (we prefer the classic avocado, lime, salt, cilantro) and wish we had sent it back but decided to keep it. On my menu it said it was $9 but apparently they changed the price to $12 by putting prices of tape over the price (which my menu didn’t have)...
The outdoor seating area was lovely and had heaters. The service was quick, and the pitcher drinks were worth trying. We opted for the Hibiscus Tequila Pitcher, which had mangoes in it. The chips and salsa were generously portioned and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Carnitas Bowl, Fajita Bowl, and Taco Trio, all of which were tasty. There was also live music, with a reggae band playing while we were there.
During our recent month-long stay in South Lake Tahoe, we found our favorite dining spot at this restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of options that can easily be made vegan, thanks to the helpful and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant boasts a spacious outdoor terrace and live music is frequently featured.
I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp ceviche, it was incredibly fresh and delicate. The Churros were also tasty. The fajita burrito was huge, I couldn't finish it all. The server was excellent. Although the beans weren't my favorite, overall the restaurant was fast and had a great atmosphere.

Went in for happy hour and both options could be made vegan. The server was pretty knowledgeable and even pointed out a few more things to us. I had the tostada with the sweet potatoes and my husband got the tostada with the veggie chilli. Both were very good.
as a native I want to keep away from tourist traps. but I do love tool. eating is expensive, but it is worth it! it is so fresh and tasty. also large parts. the margaritas are super tasty. the personal is also very well informed about veganism.

2 happy hour items that are delicious and can be made vegan. I think several menu items can be made vegan. Great service and staff too! Definitely try the mango habanero hot sauce. It’s delish. Great place for Mexican food in South Lake Tahoe!

I ordered a vegan burrito filled with sweet potatoes, corn salsa, and many other ingredients. However, please note that the guacamole is not vegan at this restaurant. Overall, the meal was satisfying.
I ordered the chips and salsa, as well as a fajita burrito with red mole sauce. The staff was extremely accommodating and helped me customize my order to my liking.
