Tucked away in a little row of old shops in Rydalmere Baan Chiang is a little gem for Thai food lovers. Very small and very casual dining (trust me it's all about the food) decor somewhat dated. We booked and during this time there was a steady stream of take-away. One of the signature dishes was the duck red curry (mouth watering) the soft shell crab another winner..in fact all the dishes we tried were. Generous portions, reasonably priced, clean food and friendly service. Parking is no problem. BYO was a bonus with a bottle shop a walk away. Definitely go here if you are all about the food and not about the location or the drama of having to dress up for the night!
This restaurant is one of our favourites we regularly visit this place with friends and family. Suzie and the staff are always welcoming with smiling faces. This is a small restaurant and bookings are essential otherwise you can miss out. I have tried everything on the menu over the years and nothing disappoints always fresh and tasty. Suzie always decorates with fresh flowers and is also BYO which is always a big plus. For all this locals that visit this place you know what I'm talking about. Our favorite place when it comes to Thai food. Live in the Hill District and tried a few of the Thai restaurant but always ended up in Baan Chiang. You get good authentic Thai food but price can be a little pricey but worth it.They are always busy during the weekend and therefore make a reservation in advance and that means not on the same day as you will probably not get a table. The place are small and hence can be rather noisy when it's full.You get good friendly service (isn't that the culture of Thai people) but you might have to wait for your food.
Ordered 4 dishes. Only came 1 appetiser after 45 minutes waiting. Now it's just passed over an hour since we were seated on the table and the other 3 dishes still haven't come. They priorities takeaway orders first before the dine in customers. Food taste nice, we've been here before, that's why we came back today. So if you're keen to try this restaurant, maybe phone them to order for takeaway. Ok 80 minutes of waiting. That's it! We are leaving this restaurant with empty tummy. (There was also another table did the same).

This is a hidden gem in an otherwise pretty barren landscape of eating places. From the big smile at the door, to nicely laid out tables with little vases of flowers, great service, a well presented menu and of course great, simple Thai food. We love it here. It is a small place, seating at most 20. It is very intimate and bookings very advisable. Highly recommended.
Over the years I've taken several groups of friends here and we've never been disappointed. Scrumptious food, polite friendly service, charming decor. Even the menus are high class. Very affordable and there is ample nearby parking. You'd better book several days in advance because it has become very popular, and no wonder.
Very small, almost hidden in a small group of old fashioned shops, this reataurant was a BIG surprise. It's all about the food which proved to be absolutely delicious and the service was second to none. If you go on Friday, Saturday night remember to book as it is always booked out. This Thai Restaurant is a winner. Great food, great service and very reasonable prices. Decor is quite pleasant with plenty of parking near the BWS 100 metres away. Give it a go. You won't regret it.

Good Thai food served quickly and with a smile. Make sure that you book ahead as they are very popular at lunch.
