What a great first impression! Warm welcome when I walked in, and they asked me how my day was. I ordered the double trouble with pulled pork and jalapeño cheddar sausages. My side were fries and jalapeño bacon mac and cheese. The meats were tasty, and I appreciate that the pulled pork wasn't overly dry. It had the right amount of sauce on it, and the sausages were tasty as well. Everything tasted fresh, and if it was closer to me, I'd say this place gives Gus' a hard run for its money and probably comes out ahead. Take out is nasty. No help on the counter. Food cold. Sweet potato fries were cold and soggy. Pulled pork old. When I'm I going to learn haven't been there in 12 months last 3 reviews I did were bad. Gross never going back. We live 5 minutes away. My husband said they were unorganized. No wonder food was cold. Messed up. Management needs to step in and up. Seriously I want a refund.
The food was average, nothing standout. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly, however, the food was only okay. The Mac and cheese lacked flavor and had a gummy texture, while the cornbread was very dry and crumbled easily. The meat options were decent, but not exceptional.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic - the brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage are two of my favorites! The service is even better! Thank you, Badlands!
The Bar-B-Q at this restaurant is amazing. The food and service are exceptional. I love eating here and will definitely be back as often as possible.
