First things first! You definitely want to take the tour. Sadly, we moved around so much we didn't get there in enough time to enjoy that experience. Balcones is a very unique distillery and they a shacking up the whiskey space. There process and ingredients are really cool making not just a bourbon but American single malt. Chris was our tour guide and he is proud of Balcones and it shows in his passion. Learned a lot on the tour and had a great tasting. Located in the heart of downtown Waco with parking! They even brew a few beers! Cool spot to hangout in the bar area and plenty of gifts to buy in their shop. Book a tour or just pop in for a cocktail before headed over to a taco truck, you won't be disappointed. Thank you to Chris for making our visit great!
Absolutely the best distilling experience ever. My wife and I almost all have to taste their flavors. You even have cocktails and beer in the house. Everyone there is super friendly and knowledgeable about his craft. It had the atmosphere of a local friendly bar, but with high cleanliness of a high limit. Family friendly and simply great. The tour was so worth asking Chris. There was nothing he was not willing to answer and you can joke with him. Bring your wallet because it will be hard to go without a bottle or two.? I really enjoyed my time at Balcones, and the tour guide was both amusing and well-informed. However, I can't give the tour a full 5 stars because the group was much too large. I had thought the maximum size was supposed to be 10 people, but we had 16 in our group. This made it difficult to hear the guide at times, and the tasting room was incredibly crowded with barely any space to move around.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting room. It’s a total vibe! Met some wonderful people there. Nick is very well informed and after a few questions he makes really nice suggestions. We will definitely return on our next trip to Waco! The Texas Coffee, Rudolph Rush and Texas Bourbon are a must try!

Came here for a tour and drinks. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and kept us engaged. We had 4 samples at the end and were able to keep our mini glencairn. The cocktails we enjoyed before and after the tour and priced well. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Balcones is one of the best distillery. The whiskey and other drinks could stand alone with greatness, but the atmosphere is amazing. Everyone is friendly. And the tour is highly recommended. Pics of drinks below.
