It's not very often that we have the pleasure of leaving someone a Star review, but our meal and service was one of the highlights of our time spent in Hobart We arrived to find the restaurant about full at o'clock on a Saturday evening, having a guest with us on wheels, we were more than happy to sit under the heated area outside as to avoid causing any nuisances inside by taking up too much space. I came to Salamanca for breakfast and intended to go to Laundry Cafe, which is only a a short walk away. The waiting list at Laundry was already long at and I didnt have much time. So I decided to come here as it looked like the next busiest place on the strip. In hindsight I should've just waited an extra at Laundry Cafe for a better quality breakfast. I ordered the eggs Benedict with salmon at I didn't have to wait long before it was served. My first reaction was damn it was small. Barcelona....Sat outside on a barmy grade Sunday night. we ordered the fried calamari as entree, some cocktails. the kalamari was great, well cooked good delicious! for main dishes- we ordered scotch filet potter house, grilled calamari large burger. the Potter house became rare to med after ordering so our body was canceled. eating was well presented, but it is typical pub meal standards. location is good staff is friendly.
Came here after a day of touring wineries in hopes of continuing to eat and drink my way through Hobart. It took minutes to flag someone down to give us menus, and after more than minutes of watching tables on either side of us be served without as much as our drink order being taken we got up and went elsewhere. Atmosphere is great both indoors and outdoors. Service can be quite slow as staff is constantly serving food and drinks. Salmon with crispy skin is cooked to almost perfection at medium rare. Sautéed veggies consist of broccolini spinach is quite salty but fresh. Beer battered chips is awesome!! Green tea comes with a teapot of flavorsome leaves.
Groovy atmosphere, would be awesome for after work drinks or catching up with friends. We went for a bite to eat around on a weekday so it was pretty quiet. The service was pleasant and food was fantastic! We got the pulled pork burger and vegetarian pizza.. It is pricey but what can you except from Salamanca, a popular tourist destination!
from the tapas menu. menu was a little short and could use some extra dishes, but the quality was good and a very pleasant meal. beautiful yard with heating means we can sit outside. in total very nice place, eat and evening. recommend to the bbq boar! a reasonable price too.

excellent bark briquettes; very tasty and well cooked, excellent service and good value for eating. overall, very happy with our meal and would return if back in hobart.
