Amazing. The brunch was off the charts delicious. Had the Southern eggs Benedict with a side of biscuits and gravy. **** Mary was perhaps the best I’ve ever had. But Dez really sets this place apart from others. She has a passion for hospitality that radiates. Within minutes you feel a connection with her and can tell that she authentically loves Barnett’s and what she does. Now add Ethan to the equation and you have dream team! Over 1,000 spirits! There is not a whisky they don’t have. The only problem is that it took me 4 years to find it and my daughter graduates from Baylor today. I will come back to Waco to visit Barnett’s. I have four years to make up for :
atmosphere! this is the best and most true pub in waco. if they are a whisky fanatic, is barnetts the place with over 1000 selections! no sweat. over 1000! They have it and they know it well. eating is delicious. we often go on Wednesday nights for hungry man special, Thursday nights for steak night, but the brunch on Saturday and Sunday is the best! I tried everything on the menu and everything was good, with good praises. the best part of barnetts are the people. desiré is a shade and knows the bar! they always make us welcome. like our little cheers. this place is a true jewel!
Good service, but the food took so long to get out that it was cold. In their defense, they have a tiny kitchen and it was packed! Even for the food being cold it was still good. We had **** Marys and they were great! Perfect place for brunch. I'm fairly sure we went during an off day or something because the potential is definitely there. Small little hole in the wall spot that was pretty good, all in all. I would definitely give it another chance.
We Barnett's in Waco is really cool place they are a whiskey bar that serves food. The food is average but the bar tender makes insane drinks insane in the aspect of really good. It was my intent not to do a review and just enjoy the great atmosphere, because this is one of those places where you just go to enjoy yourself, relax and release the stressor of the day. I can't praise this place enough. The bartender is incredibly skilled and truly knows how to create a relaxing atmosphere. It's my favorite spot for a drink within a 150-mile radius. The ambiance is great, but I do wish they had a more extensive menu. Fine dining would pair wonderfully with their fantastic bar offerings. Nonetheless, it’s still very much a 5-star establishment.
The service was good and the food was absolutely amazing! The temperature just wasn’t great at all because they had the fans on full blast and my hair was blowing everywhere. It was cold outside so it was cold inside too and they said the fans are either on or off and they’re all connected. So I had to enjoy my delicious food while pulling hair out of my face and shivering.
Shrimp and grits with a basket of bacon?!?! Perfect brunch spot on a relaxed Friday. Sweetest staff and accommodating location with dedicated parking lot adjacent. There were some cute couples throwing darts in the back some sunny seats to sip shoot the breeze if you’re not looking for a sit down meal.
We love this place. Everything about it. The food is fantastic and changes seasonally, which is awesome. The drinks are artfully made and well thought out. This place is amazing! The cocktails are fantastic—I had the Kuzco's Poison, and they definitely don’t hold back on the alcohol! The bacon-wrapped tater tots are delicious, and the chicken sandwich is equally tasty.
