Got a Chip Butty and a Fish Cake from here last Monday for the first time in ages. The Chip Butty was nice, but wasn't a fan at all of the Fish Cake. It was extremely greasey and was more of a huge potato scallop with two huge slices of potato and an extremely thin slice of fish between it that you couldn't taste.Would recommend the Chip Butty but not the Fish Cake.
1 star from me because off how the boss was pulling face's behind his staffs back instead of helping them !! Yes it was busy I can understand that!!but instead of slagging Ur staff off and pulling face's how about help them !! This is not the 1st time it's happened! I'm not one to write anything bad but that was rude !! I feel for Ur staff
Came over from York to try this after hearing great reviews, fish was cooked to perfection, nice batter , a ton of chips and the mushy peas were lovely, far superior to the other chippy we tried in Wakefield 2 weeks ago . Will definitely come again thank you Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Massive portion of chips, well cooked not soggy. Fish a little small so would order a special next time. Good portion size for the fish bites. Great choice of drinks, nice to sit in the sunshine in the seating area. Can pay by card, will definitely go back
Excellent food,however would like to see the staff who have long hair to have it covered with the cap they are wearing rather than it hanging out and the possibility of hairs landing on the food.Not very hygenic.
Food is generally good but loses marks due to being poor value for money.
