I visited the bakehouse recently and I really enjoy the apple turnovers with cream as they are scrumptious sitting down with a wonderful brew of cooee, went down really well and satisfied my taste buds. The fresh sandwiches on display looked inviting and I will definitely go back and have lunch there one day soon, and especially the egg and lettuce. In saying all of this though, I do feel that the pies are a little pricey.
As Jo K remarked we found the Iced Coffee not very nice at all, was looking forward to a really cold one made with proper coffee. However apart from that one timewe usually have coffee and cake or pastries, or maybe a pie, lots of lovely choices. Situated just off the main road, can sit out in up or downstairs. Across from the new children's playground with lots of seating. The cafe is always quite busy.
This bakery never disappoints. We always pop in here for coffee and pies and cakes whenever we are visiting. Everything is cooked daily and fresh. Very busy shop so expect to wait a little but it's worth it. Staff are always friendly. I had the vanilla slice with a cappuccino and hubby had a steak and kidney pie with a cappuccino. 10 out of 10.
We have been coming here once a week for a couple of years now & the morning staff always seem very unhappy. A little smile or a welcoming greeting would go along way towards a more pleasant experience each week. Maybe they should do afternoon shifts as they maybe happier. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I ordered a mug of skimmed latte with my breakfast and was given a skimmed flat white. The rude waitress said there is hardly any difference and walked away. If I had wanted a skimmed flat white I would have ordered one. Some of the staff need training in people skills!
A bustling business which is popular with locals and tourists. The coffee is divine, the variety of meat pies, sweets and breads is plentiful. The only downside is one of the long term workers who doesn't smile and is not pleasant to deal with.
Every time I crave for a mouth watering beverage with coffee can't go past the Bakehouse batehaven. It has that country bakery atmosphere that helps you appreciate cakes, pies and the many other pastries offered.
Service...rude and slow....bread and rolls look like yesterdays bake not fresh today....cakes are ok but very expensive....biscuits left in the sun in plastic which sweats then biscuits are soggy... Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Another good coffee during another visit to the area. Has always been a great place for a good catchup with friends over a coffee & treat to eat - or to read the daily newspaper.
