I was so excited to have Becky’s again but was quickly disappointed. I ordered a dinner plate and the prices do not match what they have online and have gone up. The meat is no longer soaked in their barbecue sauce, just a pile of big chunks of meat with a drizzle of barbecue sauce. The chicken I originally got was not clean and the employees were nice enough to exchange it for pork, but it was the same deal. The sides I got were not great either. I took two bites and then called it quits. So sad to see another good thing gone. ?
During our drive home from vacation, we decided to stop for a quick lunch and arrived just in time to beat the lunch rush—always a good sign for food quality! The meal was fantastic, but the service truly impressed us. The woman at the counter was exceptionally kind to our 3-year-old daughter, making our entire family feel welcome and at home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We just left, and I’m already longing for more of their cornbread!
I was happy the place re opened I knew the menu was gonna be different but unfortunately the food was not good. The owners are really great. The ribs are hard to chew they don't fall off the bone like they used too. The mash potatoes isn't good at all. And the corn is decent but compared to the old Becky's and the new. It's not worth the money. I'd love to come back if the menu went back to the old.
Absolutely delicious! The beans taste just like they used to the cornbread was moist. They don't sauce the pork but offer 3 barbecue sauce options you can add yourself. The potato salad could use a little work IF they're trying to match the old recipe; was a little dry and lacking flavor in comparison. I will will definitely be going back recommend!

Loved Becky’s I was excited to see it reopening with the same recipes. Unfortunately the recipes are not the same. They don’t even put sauce on their pulled pork. The potatoes are very garlicky and do not taste like they did before. So disappointed wish they stuck with the original recipes.
CAUTION. The food was decent, but the BBQ could use more sauce. However, I was disappointed to find that the Woodcutter dinner, advertised at $44 on their website, actually cost me $85 when I picked it up. I was informed it was a price increase, but I don’t think it's worth that much.
I can’t believe it took me so long to try this place. Becky’s BBQ is a must have for anyone staying in the Middletown/Newport area. I got takeout and the food tasted amazing even after a 20 mins drive home. Will definitely try again.
The food was absolutely delicious, though it was a bit expensive. I will definitely return, but not as frequently as I would like.
