Drove 40 mins for a scoop but they had just closed. Didn’t offer any help just told us to come back tomorrow.i understand they were just closed but they still had a crowd of customers still inside eating and laughing. My dad pleaded with them that scoop takes seconds (I work in the service industry and yes I totally get how once you’re closed you’re done but it was sad and I usually chose to go above and beyond to help a customer). My dad is not feeling in good health these days, and we were really looking forward to a scoop at bent spoon which is one of our traditions we don’t get to do together anymore. this place was busy when I left, but the service was quite efficient. they have as many vegan options as non-vegans and the aromen are quite unique! they ensured that they were significantly repeating the order and were super friendly! my only criticism is that there was only one big cup. Huge ice cream person here and let me tell you, this is the place to go!! There was a line, but it moved quickly. The texture (smoothly and creamy) and unique flavors are unbeatable! They also still have flavors that you would recognize, only they’re so much better than what you’ve had before! I had the dark chocolate mint and the mint cookie. Superb! My husband who didn’t want ice cream ate all my dark chocolate lol.
This is one of the best ice cream places I have visited. They value local ingredients and what’s in season, and have some unique flavors in their rotation. Bent Spoon is the highest quality ice cream that I've ever had, and although I'm not an ice cream expert, I've visited a couple of high-quality shops. On top of this quality, the unique, and often locally-sourced flavors make Bent Spoon shine. Try something new when you visit; it won't disappoint.
Cute little ice cream hole in the wall with delicious, unusual flavors. My ricotta was to die for and my mom's pear tasted like a pear! Highly recommend if you like your ice cream to have a little flair.
