I was in Portsmouth for 3 nights and visited Beyond Vegan twice. I am not even vegan. The place is clean and welcoming with green lights. But the food is beyond amazing. I didn’t see the chef but whoever is cooking there has magic hands. The ladies working there are very sweet. The first evening I had a dinner the lady brought me small tasting cups with 5 popular dishes. And all that wonderfulness is priced very modestly. To be specific I had the sea weed rice plate the first evening. It was very sophisticated memorable taste. I had hemp omelette and vegan chicken the other time. Think comfort food but better. as an alkaline vegan, its so hard to find a good restaurant. i did some research and found out about this restaurant. so tonight i went there for the first time and if was amazing! i had the mushroom chicken sandwich and it was seasoned so perfectly.. the cheese sauce was amazing and the burro banana fries were cooked perfectly! i just wish they gave me more food! i wanted to go back for seconds so badly. every time i come to portsmouth im coming straight here! Had lunch with a friend she suggested this place and it was incredible!!! Nice airy open atmosphere very spacious seating. I ordered the Gumbo and let me tell you its remarkable! The flavor is spot on and the spice is a great KICK!! If your a Vegan and you love spicy your gonna love this Gumbo. The Flu shot juice is also amazing, I cant remember whats in it but it really good. Hats off to the Vegan community and this restaurant
