Funny enough, this might be the only Hawaiian restaurant in Kentucky(it is for sure the only one in Lex). The items on the menu are excellent, with my favorite being the Hawaiian macaroni salad, which you can get as a side. I'd also recommend trying their dishes with Spam, such as the musubi. Some might be surprised, but you can do some amazing stuff with Spam. Besides the great food, I've always found the staff and the owner to be nice and cool! Big Kahuna has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Lexington! On a side note, they will occasionally have specials, and they tend to be really amazing. A few weeks ago, they had sausage masubi, which was delicious.
We've been lucky enough to have eaten in some really good Hawaiian places over the years, even in the islands when we lived there for 3 years. This place is one of the best. Yummy food, coconut shrimp is second to none, even for steakhouses. Good sides, unique artwork from local artists.
BBQ was alright. Friends and I got the katsu, pork bbq, and fish. It was all alright, but nothing overtly very flavorful or memorable. Prices were great for what it was, staff was very friendly. Not sure if we’ll be back
Food was super good. Wasn’t expecting the sauces they put on the sticky rice to work but man it heightened the level on the rice and the Hawaiian fries. One of the best Hawaiian places I’ve been to. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I have looked forward to this meal for over a year. This is by far my favorite casual restaurant in all of Lexington. I don’t understand why there aren’t more spots around the Midwest bc
Really good food. But service is meh. Watched several people get served that ordered after me. Went up to ask and the food was already ready, just sitting there.
Everything there is delicious the Hawaiian style fries are amazing all of the staff that are super friendly plenty of indoor and outdoor seating great place
