Here 's what I ate at Bistro Joe 's inn Birmingham Michigan. I started with an old fashioned cocktail. They had their own twist on the cocktail, very delicious. For my meal I went with two appetizers which they call Snacks on their menu. I had the sticky ribs and brussel sprouts. I 'm not a fan of truffles so I requested that the brussel sprouts not have any truffle oil on them and they were excellent. The kitchen had no problem leaving the truffle oil off. So if you 're not a fan of truffle oil, but you love brussel sprouts try these! I enjoyed the ambiance in the restaurant. Took my family here for Mother's Day. The food was good. However, the service was really slow. You might assume it was slow because they were busy on a holiday. This wasn't the case. We were there at 2:00 pm and there were many empty tables. It took almost 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge we had sat down. Took another 10 minutes for the server to take our drink order. Our server was apologetic and drew a picture for our son to color while we waited. Once we finally ordered our food, it was sent in 3 different times. One of the appetizers came out before and one after our main courses arrived. We probably will try this place again if we are ever in the Birmingham area again.
I'm not sure what happened since I last came pre- pandemic but the experience is not what I recalled. My vegetarian lasagna was actually good but the first issue was a large bug in my husband's old fashioned. It seems like it was perhaps in one of the bottles they used to make the drink and it poured out. When he received another, the rate was off. Perhaps a different bartender. He ordered a salad with salmon; the waiter brought the salad without the salmon. He admitted the kitchen forgot the salmon, when it came out, it looked like the photo I attached. Overall, not a good experience and I'm not sure I'll be back.
My husband and I visit this restaurant occasionally, and we have never had a negative experience. They often have available reservations, which is great for spontaneous date nights. I especially enjoy the Hummus and Za'atar Pita Chips, which make for a delicious appetizer. The Kale and Quinoa salad is also quite tasty. While there are many other excellent options on the menu, I just wanted to highlight these two dishes because they were my recent choices. The only suggestion I have is to possibly offer more vegetarian-friendly dishes. Overall, I truly enjoy dining here!

The restaurant offers a diverse happy hour menu with several food choices. We tried the wagyu beef sliders, crab stuffed mushrooms, kale and quinoa salad with blackened salmon, and cedar planked salmon blackened. Everything was delicious, especially the crab stuffed mushrooms. The service was prompt and they quickly accommodated our request to have the cedar planked salmon blackened. They even provided us with complimentary bread and butter. The ambiance was pleasant and not overly noisy; you wouldn't even know you were in a grocery store.
The service at this restaurant truly stood out. Jasmin provided top-notch service with a positive attitude and a constant smile. She flawlessly handled all of our orders, ensuring that everyone received their food simultaneously. Martin also deserves recognition for his exceptional hospitality and assistance with reservations. Our group of 8 cannot wait to return to this restaurant for another delightful dining experience.
Had another amazing meal Bistro Joe's this evening! Lana is an amazing hostess who always makes us feel very welcomed and who takes a personal interest in each patron. We had a new server, Falon, being trained by Cat) was spot on with service and cordiality. All of these people and the wait staff are wonderful representatives of Bistro Joe's Finally, our meals were excellent and the service was exemplary.
Making a brunch reservation online was quick and simple--something I'd highly recommend because this place fills up fast. The food and service were excellent, with a diverse menu offering both lunch and breakfast options, all beautifully presented. I love the aesthetic of this restaurant, especially the charming patio out front. When the sun is shining, it's the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a meal.

I had a very good experience at Bistro Joe's! I ended up splitting a couple appetizers with someone and it was plenty of food. Our service was good and our food was out shortly after ordering. We sat on the balcony area and it was a nice view of woodward.
The service and ambience here is great. Even though it is above a grocery store the atmosphere feels elegant. The food tasted fresh and delicious.
